Overview:
When starting a new Text Groove account, you may want to import data from a previously existing database or platform. Whether that be a list of users to get started, a database to import to Text Clubs, or even just a list of contacts for your account. All of these are able to be imported into our platform!
Text Clubs:
If you have an active User Database (Text Club) list on a previous account or platform, there are several steps that need to be taken in order to import that list of subscribers to a new Text Club within Text Groove.
An active User Database (Text Club) List is a list of people who have actively subscribed, or opted-in to receiving regular marketing type messages from your registered brand. The end-users have to have specifically opted in to receiving these messages (a list of people who have entered into a contest does not equate to a opt in to receiving additional messages). Furthermore an active Text Club needs to have had a text message sent to it within the last 12 months in order to still be considered active.
If your list of subscribers meets the above description, we will be able to import that list of subscribers to a new Text Club within Text Groove.
If your Text Club is changing phone numbers (Ex: from 86753 to 555-867-5309) - you will need to send a message to your current subscribers from the old number, informing them of the change and offering a chance for them to unsubscribe if they would like. Once that message has been sent, we have to wait three days before downloading that list of subscribers and importing them to the new Text Club and sending a message.
Example:
November 28 - A text blast is sent from your old provider/number that reads:
"[Text Club Name/Station Name]: Our number is changing. Messages will now be sent from [new phone number]. To opt-out, text stop."
December 1 - You make the switch to Text Groove AND can send a text blast to your subscribers from the new platform.

For us to import a list of contacts you may have, simply provide a list of all contacts as a .csv file to
support@textgroove.com - we'll handle the rest of it for you!
Importing Users:
If you would like for us to pre-load your Text Groove account with Users to access their account once it is ready; simply provide us with their first and last names, associated email addresses, and if you would like that person added to the account as an ADMIN, or a USER.
